Happy 2011!!

Well another year has come and gone, but 2010 was a great year for Tony and I. We were able to do many things last year. We took a trip to Virginia and Washington D.C., which was exciting because I had never been to D.C. We took a trip to Alaska and were able to travel all around and see many great things, as well as spend time with family there! We became an aunt and uncle to our nephew Doug. My grandma had a rough year health wise, but she has come out on top of 2010 and we could not be more thankful that she is on the mend and ready to meet her new great-grandson. I thank God every day for allowing her and us that opportunity. We made it through the year with jobs, a house and healthy, which in this economy is extremely important! Most importantly, we became parents to a beautiful and healthy baby boy, Blaine!
Our life has been forever changed in the most amazing way!
We spent New Years Eve at home, on the couch...needless to say Tony had to wake us for the ball drop at midnight and then it was pretty much back to sleep for Blaine and I. I'm not one to make resolutions and this year is no different. There are things I want to do and keep in mind throughout the year, but nothing set in stone and it's probably better that way! We have our first trip of 2011 planned for the end of January. We will be heading back to MI to see my family and have Blaine baptized. We can't wait, but traveling with a 2 month old for the first time could be interesting.

We took Blaine up to Four Peaks Mountains to experience snow for the first time on New Years Day. Needless to say I don't think we were the only people that wanted to see it, it was a long truck ride to the top and there were a lot of other vehicles. At the base of the mountains we were met with a bunch of other vehicles on the road because there were plenty of people who were stuck or off the road. We decided to turn around (after a 2 hour trip up just to see the snow...) and stopped on the side of the road for a few pictures.
Growing up in Michigan, never thought I would try that hard to see snow!

Happy New Year Everyone!
