Mother's Day

Blaine and I after dinner on Mother's Day

Blaine and Daddy on Mother's Day

We couldn't resist this photo. We left Blaine in his crib and came back to find him crawling up under the bum of his bear!

This has been an amazing year for Tony and I. Having never really thought about being pregnant until I was, I don't know what I thought it would be like and I can tell you my pregnancy was not what I thought it would be. I thought I would be this cute pregnant lady that could continue to eat healthy and exercise, things would go easy and we would have a baby at the end. I can tell you my pregnancy was not that, it was hard and exhausting. The exercise was ended when they continued to think Blaine was not growing enough, which I guess was great because I was able to eat more! Unfortunately, I never really wanted anything all that healthy to eat anymore. Then came the multiple doctor's appointments every week; going to work late, leaving early just to go to 2 or 3 check-ups every week. All the while praying that he would continue to grow and be healthy. Of course I imagined that I would have contractions and then there would be that "magic" moment when I tell Tony we need to go to the hospital. Once again that plan was foiled by the fact that my water broke at school, but Blaine was not ready to come which began the hours of laying in bed at the hospital! The one thing about my whole idea of pregnancy that worked out was that on November 20th at 6:56 p.m. God blessed us with a beautiful and healthy baby boy. Nothing else mattered and all the caution we took was worth it! It's days like that and a day like Mother's Day which makes me realize that somethings don't work out as planned and sometimes they can be an inconvenience, but there is always a reason God gives us things to test our faith and strength and this last year has taught me that! Here we are almost 6 months later and Blaine makes me smile more and more every day!! I couldn't feel more blessed about the life I have been given and the amazing husband I have to support me! Today, I am most thankful that I have the honor of being the mother to a wonderful son who I am excited to watch grow!

Best moment of my Mother's Day was holding this sweet little guy! It's definitely the small things in life that make it worth it!
Who could resist this smile!
