It's been a little while, but due to last minute changes, Blaine and I stayed in Michigan. We were all scheduled to go back to Arizona on January 1st, but Blaine and I decided to extend out stay until February 14th! Which also means that mommy extended her time off school until February 22nd. I have said it a million times, but my husband is AMAZING for making all this happen so that Blaine and I are able to stay with my family longer!!!
Blaine did an awesome job on the airplane. Ate and slept the whole way, did not cry one time! Mommy can only hope it goes that way on the way back to Arizona! Well, upon first arriving in Michigan to a -14 degree temperature to the largest snowstorm of 2011 we are surviving! Record snowfall happened in Michigan this week and Blaine has been here (inside of course) to experience it all.
Mommy has gotten a lot of breaks thanks to Grandma! And we are getting to spend lots of fun time with Great Grandma Dorothy doing craft projects and baking! We are having so much fun.
Most important thing to happen this trip is that Blaine was baptized with the whole family there to see it! Right after Pastor Fetzer baptized Blaine he let out a rather high-pitched scream, it was funny because Pastor then jokingly said, "The devil has left this child". It couldn't have been more fitting. And of course Blaine had to show his best side by then pooping on his Aunt Rikki! Then my Aunt Renee had a wonderful lunch for everyone at her house! A big thank you to everyone who made this day special and memorable for us all!
Blaine has grown so much here in Michigan. We weighed him the other night and he weighs 12 pounds! He definitely has more hair on his head. He has discovered his hands and loves sucking on the side of his hand. He is smiling and laughing more and more every day! Great Grandma puts cartoons on and Blaine sits in his bouncer watching them laughing most of the time! And finally he is trying VERY hard every day to roll over. He gets going and grunting and Grandpa keeps giving him words of encouragement. I keep telling Blaine he better wait until we get home to Daddy!
We are having such a great time here with my family, it will be hard to go back, but we definitely miss Dad!!
